Update on Tanner

So we were fortunate to get Tanner into Children's on Monday.  He broke his leg from knee to ankle, and Tom said that it looks as though it split in different directions.  So for now, we were able to cast as is, at least for 4 weeks.  We will go back in June 8th and they will steer us in the right direction.  How fortunate we are to have the top Pediatric Orthopedic doctor here in Olympia.  We have been told he is hard to get in to see, but Dr. Goldberg loves to see Tanner because he is so interested in his very rare disease.   We are glad we have him!  Tanner is doing well, he has learned new things in place of his ability to walk-----The loudest SCREAM that just makes the hair on the back of your head stand up tall, and this is how he gets your attention.  He does not want to try to walk yet, but he has learned to slide across the floor on his belly.  It is almost having a 6 month old again, but alot heavier!!!!

Poor little guy! I'm glad you have such a great doctor, and that Tanner is doing well despite his injury. Of course, I bet that screaming trick will be hard to break once he's able to walk again -- good luck with that! =P We've been thinking about your family and praying for you all.
