Dance Festival!

Here's a few clips from our regional dance festival. More than 2200 youth from 11 stakes put on a 90-minute performance. The best part was when the show opened and your could hear this rumble off the stage as the whole group got ready to run out on the dance floor. They also had a great video at the end that showed how the Church has grown over the years, with the kids each lighting a glow stick to represent a stake of the Church. It was pretty impressive to see how many strong youth there are in this area that are making good choices and how they represent the great force for good that the gospel is throughout the world. What an awesome blessing it is to know about the restored truth of the gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Here are a few good quotes and stories from our last week:

Tyson: "Michael Phelps is a swimnist"

Eli taught our family home evening lesson last Monday. He taught about about how to share a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. During the lesson, I asked him "What is a testimony?" He said "it's when you stand up, get an envelope from the bishop's office and put money in it." I tried to explain the difference between tithing and a testimony and felt pretty confident that it was perfectly clear. As Eli finished his lesson, I said "Eli, do you want to share your testimony now?" He replied, "Do I have to? I don't want to walk all the way upstairs and get my piggy bank." I guess we still have a way to go...

Tom and Dedra's no-fail flowers

Dedra volunteered at the school this last year and one of the teachers gave her starts for flowers. So all we had to do was plant them and water them. I think we did it! We love it!

Maybe NOT!

Well we had our final doctors appointment before she leaves for vacation and.........baby is to small. Even though I am as big as possible, he is only measuring about 6.5-7 pounds and for the Tolman's that is small. She said that she will if I have not already gone by time she gets back take me the first week of September. That is about 2 1/2 weeks and I am ok with that. Tanner will be about 8-9 pounds and that is about average for us. We are grateful for a wise doctor and she has taken care of us very well. We are excited to hear Tanner's first cry.

So for the rest of the time that I have pregnant I am going to concentrate on nesting. I am going to clean last minute things and then of course Blackberries are on so we will be picking and making jam. Then of course we will be making salsa for the winter months. So I have plenty to keep me going. We will post Tanner on the web when he comes.

Maybe...Maybe Not?

Just to update everyone on our little arrival. He is set to come September 8th, but we have been told that our doctor will be out of town the last 2 weeks of August. I usually deliver early with boy babies because they come so big. So on the Tuesday we will be going to the doctor for our regular NST test then we will be asking if we can deliver Tanner before she goes on vacation. So this could be the week. We will keep all of you posted.
