So I have blogged many times about our son Eli and his many, many fears, ie. dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, bees, some food that has texture, you name it he has it. (except the most scary roller coasters in the parks) Anyway, this brings to my blog. Last year Eli decided to play baseball again, (my least favorite sport to watch) But, at one game he noticed a dog that was off leash, which Eli knows it is not legal to walk your dog with out a leash. He had his eye on this dog, mind you it was at least a football field away, but this paralyzed Eli to the point that he could not play. He then for the rest of the year would scan the field for any animals and then decide whether or not he was going to play. So when Eli decided NOT to play baseball this year, I was not sad one bit!!! He chose...... drum roll....... BASKETBALL! IF any of you know Tom and I real well, we look as though we could play basketball, WRONG! We play instruments and sing, we go more for the performing arts school of knocks, not the Athleticism jock school of knocks. So the good parents we are signed him because it does have many good things about it. 1. It is inside.....no dogs or living animals. 2. It has a timer and you know when the game is over. 3. More movement, it goes from one side to the next. 4. Did I say it was inside So we go to his first game on Saturday. Eli played very well. Infact, he scored 12 points. So where do you ask did he get this talent? He was just born with it. (Ok really, I come from a family of sports siblings, my brothers and sisters range from 6'7 - 6', yes me coming in the shortest at 5'7) Way to go ELI! Can't wait for the next game!!!!

Congratulations, Eli! Sounds like you've found a good fit for you. =) We feel the same way, wondering where Daniel got his obsession with all things sports. {But my mom's side of the family is very athletic, so it must have skipped a generation in my case. =)}
How exciting, basketball is more fun to watch!
Way to go Eli! When did he get so big, btw? Really... he's a good looking young man... okay still little boy... but not that little.
